Creating a CV (TCB Togo)

The weekend is over and Felix and Ina back in Gapé to continue their workshop. It started on Friday, the first lesson for the members of SADA Togo were the basics: What is a folder? Who was Konrad Zuse? During the weekend the two students went to Kpamilé, a city where Felix lived a year abroad to volunteer. Returning to Togo, he took the chance to visit his former host family and meet some old friends. Ina was his company enjoying the trip as he did. On Monday, the participants were introduced to LibreOffice Writer, an OpenSource Version of Microsoft Word. To get an impression of the new program, everyone was asked to create a CV. Comparable to the TCB workshop in Ghana, the difference in their abilities to work with a computer is remarkable: While some can use the Terminal to navigate through the operating system of Linux, others can barely type. But due to the small size of the group, it is possible to teach everyone on an individual level. During the afternoon, the workshop for the teachers began. Furthermore, as the teachers are not used to work with a laptop as SADA’s members are, the teachers’ workshop is more detailed. The idea is to coach the members of SADA on how to implement the workshop and begin the training of teachers.  After the German team returns to Germany, SADA will continue the workshop for the teachers.
