First day in Nepal

Yesterday evening we arrived in Kathmandu and the jeep from the hospital brought us from the airport to Dhulikhel. After organising some small stuff like a SIM card, we could enjoy the first delicious Nepalese Dal Bhat in the evening and plan the next day.
After this pleasant journey, we started today at Dhulikhel Hospital. At 8 am we went to the big hospital meeting to present our project. Afterwards we discussed with the coordinator of the outreach clinics all technical details and preparations for the incinerator construction in Manhekarka. We were very happy that the cooperation worked out so well. All preparations have been made and the construction can start on Thursday as planned. We also had short contact with the Maintaince department and were happy to hear that the app for maintenance of hospital equipment (from the project: Hospital Support in Dhulikhel, Nepal (TeoG Swift Pilot Project)) works well and improves the daily work routine. In the afternoon we met the head of the hospital Dr. Ram KM Shrestha. He had creative ideas for future projects, which we are very curious about and started to inform us in the evening.
Unfortunately the weather has not been good enough to admire the Himalaya Panorama, but it was enough for the first sunburn.
