Rain and Wikipedia (TCB Togo)

On Tuesday Morning, the workshop for the members of SADA continued. After working all little bit on their CV, TeoG TCB and SADA visited several schools in Gapé to raise awareness about the IT center and the importance of ICT skills in the modern world. During the afternoon, the teachers attended the workshop. They were introduced to LibreOffice Writer and learned basic formatting.
In the evening, the member of SADA went to the house where the Europeans are staying to eat together.
An offline Wiki is installed on the laptops – this was introduced to the members of SADA on Wednesday morning. With a questionnaire, they were introduced to the basic tools of researching. How is a Wikipedia article set up? How can you search in a long article for a specific piece of information? In the afternoon, it rained cats and dogs, so the teachers’ workshop started late. Due to low attendance and the wish of the participating teachers, the workshop was not continued but the teachers were able to work freely on the laptops. In the evening, it was the Europeans’ turn to visit the members of SADA in the village to have dinner together and discuss ideas and share experiences.
