Arrival at the green giant
Looking back this day was actually really successful. We managed to solve the problem with the Cummins-generator. First of all we started of by looking for the appearing problem when turning on the generator. We managed to find possible solutions but we were not able to check on them before the service technician of Cummins showed up.In the meanwhile we proofed that our guess was right by contacting a German technician of Cummins. So we started of to create a maintenance schedule for the hospital technicians for everyday service of the generators. In the afternoon the service technician showed up and managed to get the generator working. He validated our guess that the generator just needs some more time for preheating and that there may be applied some devices with leakage current.
After this confirmation, we made a little trip to the incinerator to clean it and to see if there really is a blockage in the chimney. As a side effect we found out that the second incinerator is working properly and only needs a grid for lighting the fire. Tomorrow the staff of the hospital was supposed to finally clean the chimney. So things are acutally moving on.
