Arrival of recovery

Fortunately we all felt better this morning. So we went to the eye-clinic. There are also two dental chairs placed by TeoG-members of previous deployments. We heard that one of the chairs is not working properly so we decided to take a look at it to find out if we could fix the problem. Unfortunately it had some disfunctionalities we couldn’t rectify. We contacted the help line of the company who built the dental chair but they were not able to help us.

Peter was asked for help with an ECG device in the emergency. He was able to find out that the problem was a broken lead so that the graph was printed incorrectly. Additionally we got a driver to go to Kumasi to get the belts needed for the generators and some other spare parts such as fuses and cable shoes.

In the afternoon we put the broken generator back together and put the connecting parts in the casing so that they don’t get lost. Later we called our team member in Germany to talk to him about the maternity ward which he will visit soon and to give him a short briefing about the situation there. Right after this call the estate manager passed by and told us that the driver actually was able to find all the spare parts. We are really looking forward to check them out tomorrow.
