Get to know the team – Sampson Oboh

sam1

My name is Sampson Oboh, a graduate of University of Cape Coast with Bsc Degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Science. I am a social entrepreneur and a community development stakeholder with a strong vision for mobilizing, educating, empowering and engaging young people in developing practical solutions to community challenges. I am the team leader for this year’s Recycle Up camp in Cape Coast.

Sampson is currently working as an assistant fisheries officer at the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development for his national service and a business development officer at somafo.com.

Indeed, the lack of sustainable plastic waste management in Ghana is a major problem affecting the living conditions of the people. This is why I am super motivated to contribute my quota to Recycle Up! Ghana which seeks to create local solutions to the problem. What really motivates me about recycle up is the approach “local problem….local solutions”. At Recycle Up, we believe in the creative and innovative minds of the young Ghanaian to solve our own problems and the soft skills acquired during the camp continually becomes integral part of the participant to excel in all their endeavors.

I see myself supervising a national scale of the Recycle Up Ghana initiative operating in all over Ghana and making Ghana, a plastic waste free country. Get on Board! And together, let’s make this a reality.
