6th March – Working with Know-how and in Sandals

We started this morning with a mediocre mood. Improved since we finally had bricks to lay, damped by the fact that the metall had not made it in the rain last evening. And then the Crew started their magic. Our two bricklayers and one welder kicked of by mixing massive amounts of mortar running back and forth to get more Sand. All in sandles of course, like the ones you where in a sauna. On narrow rocky path. Just before lunch they had already finished most of the outer wall of the incinerator when it happend

The metal arrived!

Not with massive riffs but in a smallish transporter. Our second welder hopped out and we started unloading and checking the delivery. Two of the workers helped and one inexorably continued laying bricks. In sandles.

After a quick Dal Bat lunch we hurried back to the site. Our team ( literally all in sandals) had started finsihing of the outer wall and were rifeling the construcitons plans for things to do next. With dipendras help we quickly discussed the next steps and they started laying cables for the welding machines. Again running up and down the hill, without path, but with sandals.
Before the work commenced the was a bit of shuffeling and it turns out they had quite the experience with roofs. And said they would do it diffrent from our plans. Since we are out of our league with roofs anyways and the terrain is a bit tought, we gave them free hand.

And this is where they put their shine on. Within three hours they had measured, cut, welded and set into concrete our six roof supporting rods. Not with a centimeter of defiation. All checked with a level and plumb. Outstanding work

The evening was settled by fine evening light and a momo party with all the staff and workers. A Cook-Out of sortes where everyone produces massive amounts of dumplings and then tries to eat just as many. Arne succeded.

With pleased regards,

Arne and Henning
