Update: 27th April

iMPROVISATION iS oUR jOB

After printing Labels, checking the incinerator and intense discussions concerning our plans for this and the following three in the morning, we turned to more practical things in the afternoon.

Francis successfully and very professionally installed the circuitbreaker for the Autclave and we gave an introduction to the entire staff of the theater. As it turns out they did not know how to use it anymore. Well, New Labels, new Game, New Luck.

Next up: The centrifuge with two suspicious looking turnable nobs ono the front. Half washed away permanent marker, next to it. We open it. All controles have been surpassed. The thing is rewired with a turning switch and a timer. Runs on 4 settings up to 60 mintues. Kind of like it is supposed to. You can open the top though while it’s running (it kindly asks you not to, tough). How did we find out?

Easy: The switch to turn it on was broken. A notch to hold the switch in its socket broke of. We fixed it. Not with a cup of piece of copper or a matchstick(we tried though!) but with a sawed of nail and the Superglue-Ash-Mix trademarked by francis(R) ^^ works, looks fine. All good!

We knocked of after a 15 mintues lecture on the function and construction of dental chairs from the 1990’s and a good laugh about some thing funny…I forgot the dinner was too good.

During lunch we overheard local talk about kokotee. We said, whats that? they said, makes you strong strong. We said, let’s have that for dinner. The whole place starts cracking up and the cook looks little bit worried. Was fin though. Like fufu without pantea(cooking banana). Between jello and pudding. Great!

Now it’s time for bed, tomorrow is Waste separation teaching day…if we get internet…It’s been on and of for a day…mostly of…like 85%…oh well 😀
